Signature gathering

The Signa 5K-RH inline gatherer has 20 stations. Folded signatures are collected in sequence to form a book block that moves directly toward stitching or the perfect binder, with a maximum gathering thickness of 50 mm.

Camera-assisted verification

The BSRS (Bindwel Signature Recognition System) uses a camera and is designed to identify gathering errors. The line includes a reject gate for books that are flagged. Like any inspection system, it supports quality control and does not remove the need for checks.

Stitching and pinning

A side stitching attachment with Hohner stitching heads allows stitched work on the line, and the gatherer supports pinning at a mechanical speed of 1,600–2,500 cycles per hour. The book block feeder handles thread-sewn and stitched books.
